Our Ausplow team continues its busy program visiting new and current owners throughout Australia. One recent event was a two day information day held at the Birchip, Victoria branch of Ausplow dealers J J O’Connor. Organised by the dealership’s Sales Manager Tom Sheridan, it attracted new and experienced Ausplow owners with presentations given by Ausplow service manager Ray Beecham and Marketing and Sales Manager Chris Blight. On day one, Chris and Ray spent the day setting up the demo rig (DBS Auseeder D260-48N and Multistream M14000 tow behind on three metres). The Case IH tractor had a Pro 700 in-cab monitor controlling the M14000 delivery via a Topcon Apollo ISOBUS system. On day two, the pair held a two hour presentation at O’Connors’ Birchip branch discussing the changes to DBS Auseeder and Multistream model; maintenance and future research and development. Then it was out to the paddock to demonstrate the rig, followed by a barbecue and an opportunity for customers to discuss topics with Chris and Ray. According to Tom, the days were an outstanding success. “It was great for new and existing owners to have the opportunity to learn a bit more about their machines and how they could get improved performances of the machines,” he said. “Some guys have been using DBS bars for five years or more and even they had positive feedback about little take-home messages to tweak the bars to perform even better.” O’Connors is currently running demonstration days throughout Victoria, and feedback from farmers attending has been positive. “Everybody is impressed by the trash flow and accurate seed placement,” Tom said.
